Your information, explained

Curtain privacy

Curtain is an iPhone app made by Freshpath Studio. Your photos are processed on your iPhone to make photo strips; Freshpath Studio does not receive those photos.

Camera

Curtain uses the camera while the app is open and you are taking photos. Those photos are processed on your device to make your strip and are not uploaded by Curtain.

Saving to Photos

Curtain requests permission to add photos to your photo library. It uses this permission when you tap Save or 4×6. It cannot browse or read the photos already in your library.

Sharing

When you tap Share, Curtain opens the standard iPhone share sheet. You choose what to share and where it goes. The receiving app or service handles the shared copy under its own privacy practices. Shared messages include a short line with a link to Curtain on the App Store.

Curtain creates a temporary image file on your iPhone for sharing. A later share replaces the previous temporary share file; starting a new strip also removes the previous share file.

No accounts, ads or tracking

Curtain has no accounts or sign-up. It shows no ads, contains no analytics or tracking, and includes no third-party code that collects data. The app does not send your personal information to Freshpath Studio.

Information kept on your iPhone

Curtain keeps preferences such as whether sounds are on and a count of saved strips on your iPhone. The count helps the app decide when to show Apple's standard rating prompt.

If you leave Curtain to allow Photos access in Settings, the strip you were saving is kept locally for that return to the app. Curtain then attempts to save it if permission is allowed and removes the pending copy. If you return without allowing access, the pending copy is discarded.

These preferences and temporary files stay on your device. Deleting the app removes its local data. Copies you saved to Photos remain in your photo library.

Children

Curtain does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
